The CSHU is the integrated Hybrid/Packet system control, switching, and timing board.
1-Switching capability and Provides a 10Gbit/s packet switching capacity.
2-Cross-connect capacity and Supports full time-division cross-connections (equivalent to 32×32 VC-4s) at the VC-12, VC-3, or VC-4 level.
3-System control and communication Manages, monitors, and controls the running status of the IDU, and works as a communication service unit between the NMS and boards, thereby allowing the NMS to control and manage the NE.
4- Provides the system clock and frame headers of service signals and overhead signals for the other boards by tracing any of the following clock sources: l External clock l SDH line clock l PDH tributary clock l Microwave link clock l Synchronous Ethernet clock
5-Supports the following clock protection schemes: l Protection based on clock source priorities l Protection by running the SSM protocol l Protection by running the extended SSM protocol.
6-Supports IEEE 1588v2 time synchronization. Supports ITU-T G.8275.1 time synchronization.
7-Data communication network (DCN) Out-band DCN Supports a maximum of 13 data communication channels (DCCs) In-band DCN The DCN bandwidth is configurable.
